| Dokumenter Hibrida Selasa 10 Desember 2013 | 18.30 | Ruang Seminar, Taman Budaya Yogyakarta Tantangan dokumenter adalah bagaimana menyajikan realitas. Kebutuhan untuk menyajikan kenyaataan ini membuat dokumenter memiliki kaidah-kaidah tertentu dalam menghadirkan kembali realita. Kritiknya cukup jelas, untuk membuat penciptaan karya tidak berlari terlalu jauh dari kadar kenyataan. Pada titik ini, pembuat film dihadapkan pada etika, sebelum dan setelah produksi. Minimnya upaya pembuat film dalam mengolah gaya bercerita bisa jadi adalah karena usaha pembuat film yang terjebak pada proses pemenuhan kaidah-kaidah tertentu. Banyak pembuat dokumenter Indonesia terjebak pada kebutuhan untuk memaparkan secara seimbang, mirip dengan metode jurnalistik, namun tidak memberikan wacana kritis tentang apa yang di rekam kamera. Melalui program “Dokumenter Hibrida” ini, FFD ingin menghadirkan wacana baru dalam eksperimentasi struktur dan metode dokumenter. Dokumenter Hibrida memadukan kaidah dari disiplin yang berbeda. Dokumenter ini berpotensi sebagai pengganggu pakem dokumenter yang sudah mapan sebelumnya. Pertanyaannya kemudian adalah, sejauh mana dokumenter ini berkemampuan untuk merepresantasikan realitas? The need of serving reality makes documentary has a certain principle in presenting the reality again. The critic is pretty clear; to make the artistic creation would not be too far away from the reality proportion. At this point, the filmmaker is confronted by ethics, before and after production. The lack of effort from the filmmaker in processing the story telling style perhaps is because the effort from the filmmaker whose trapped in the process of fulfilling certain principles. Many Indonesian documenters are trapped in the need of showing their works in balance, similar to journalistic method, but they are not giving a critical discourse in what the camera has recorded. Through this “Dokumenter Hibrida” program, FFD wants to present a new discourse in the structural experiment and the documentary method. Dokumenter Hibrida is integrating the principles from different disciplines. This documentary is potentially disrupting the documentary formula which is already established.
